Every great love has a great story.
And the greater the love, the bigger the challenges.
But when you see two people who by any human laws are forbidden to, but sometimes just can’t take their eyes off each other as if in trance, with souls pouring out of them saying everything their mouths can’t, other times lose themselves in flirty conversations then suddenly stop and walk away in the middle of a phrase heavy and stuck, then go outside together and talk like two old friends who’ve been through everything, just to become weird and cold exactly ten minutes after – complete strangers avoiding each other for days in a row, don’t judge.
Don’t patronize.
And don’t laugh either.
You may never get to feel what they’re feeling.
You may never have to deal with what they’ve been dealing with.
You might not have been chosen to.
You may never will.
They are going through something.
Something bigger than them, something that sure looks like a once in a lifetime thing (at least to one of them), something as innocent as a fourth grade love affair and as tragic as Romeo and Juliet’s last moments together.
Something somewhere between magic and madness.
Something raw and intense as a Marina Abramović art performance.
Something that Nora Ephron could have easily turned into a movie.
Something they will both remember for the rest of their lives – and beyond.
Something worth fighting for.
Something worth waiting for…sometimes.
Something they’ve both been praying for, at the same time, to different gods.
Something that will either kill them or give them superhuman powers.
Something unresolved.
They weren’t ready for this, they will never be the same again. But trust that they are evolving and trying to handle things the best way they can.
Every great love has a great story.
This is ours.
As always, here I stand – grateful and perhaps too revealing.
